Frequently Asked Questions

Portable Restroom Rentals

How many portable toilets do I need for my event?

The right number depends on several factors: how many guests are attending, how long the event runs, and whether alcohol will be served. As a basic starting point, plan for one unit per 50 guests for a 4-hour event — but alcohol service, longer durations, or larger crowds can significantly increase that number.

To take the guesswork out of it, we built an interactive estimator that calculates a recommended unit count based on your specific event details. It covers outdoor events, weddings, festivals, sporting events, and construction sites — and accounts for ADA units and alcohol multipliers automatically.

How far in advance should I reserve a portable restroom?

We recommend reserving at least 1–2 weeks in advance for events, and as early as possible for long-term construction site needs. During busy summer months, earlier is always better.

Do you offer ADA-accessible units?

Yes. We offer handicap-accessible portable restrooms that meet ADA requirements. Please mention this when calling so we can ensure availability.

What areas do you service?

We service western New York and northwestern Pennsylvania. See our Service Locations page for a full list of cities and zip codes we cover.

Septic Tank Service

How often should I pump my septic tank?

Most household septic tanks should be pumped every 3–5 years. The frequency depends on tank size, household size, and usage. Larger families may need service more frequently.

What are signs that my septic tank needs pumping?

Common signs include slow-draining sinks or toilets, gurgling sounds in the plumbing, sewage odors near the drain field, or unusually lush green grass over the tank area. If you notice any of these, call us promptly.

What should I not put down my drains?

Avoid flushing or draining: grease and cooking oils, wipes (even "flushable" ones), paper towels, feminine hygiene products, medications, bleach in large quantities, or any non-biodegradable material. See our Septic Tips page for more.

How long does a septic pump-out take?

Most residential pump-outs take 30–60 minutes depending on tank size and condition. Our technicians will let you know if any issues are observed during service.

Do you service commercial properties?

Yes, we service both residential and commercial properties, including restaurants, campgrounds, and construction sites.
